Phinehas our father in being zealous and fervent obtained the covenant of an everlasting priesthood.

Elijah for being zealous and fervent for the law was taken up into heaven.

The third in glory is Phinehas the son of Eleazar, Because he had zeal in the fear of the Lord, And stood up with good courage of heart when the people were turned back, And made reconciliation for Israel.

For I purposed to do after her, And earnestly I followed that which is good; So shall I not be confounded.
