even the things that happened in the day in which ye stood before the Lord our God in Horeb in the day of the assembly; for the Lord said to me, Gather the people to me, and let them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days which they live upon the earth, and they shall teach their sons.

And the Lord gave me the two tables of stone written with the finger of God, and on them there had been written all the words which the Lord spoke to you in the mountain in the day of the assembly.

according to all things which thou didst desire of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, We will not again hear the voice of the Lord thy God, and we will not anymore see this great fire, and so we shall not die.

He that is fractured or mutilated in his private parts shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.

One born of a harlot shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.

The Ammonite and Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even until the tenth generation he shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even forever:

If sons be born to them, in the third generation they shall enter into the assembly of the Lord.

And Moses spoke all the words of this song even to the end, in the ears of the whole assembly.

they came all together at the same time to make war against Joshua and Israel. even the law of Moses, before the children of Israel. were there, who were half of them near Mount Gerizim, and half near Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the Lord commanded at first, to bless the people.

And all the tribes of Israel stood before the Lord in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.

And the children of Israel said, Who of all the tribes of Israel, went not up in the congregation to the Lord? for there was a great oath concerning those who went not up to the Lord to Mizpah, saying, He shall surely be put to death.

And they said, What one man is there of the tribes of Israel, who went not up to the Lord to Mizpah? and, behold, no man came to the camp from Jabesh-gilead to the assembly.

And all this assembly shall know that the Lord delivers not by sword or spear, for the battle is the Lord’s, and the Lord will deliver you into our hands.

And Saul sent messengers to take David, and they saw the assembly of the prophets, and Samuel stood as appointed over them; and the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they prophesy.

And the king turned his face, and the king blessed all Israel (and the whole assembly of Israel stood):

And Solomon stood up in front of the altar before all the congregation of Israel; and he spread out his hands toward heaven:

And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.

And David said to the whole congregation of Israel, If it seem good to you, and it should be prospered by the Lord our God, let us send to our brethren that are left in all the land of Israel, and let the priests the Levites who are with them in the cities of their possession come, and let them be gathered to us.

And all the congregation said that they would do thus; for the saying was right in the eyes of all the people.

And David stood in the midst of the assembly, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and a place for the feet of our Lord, and I prepared materials suitable for the building:

And now I charge you before the whole assembly of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek all the commandments of the Lord our God, that ye may inherit the good land, and leave it for your sons to inherit after you forever.

And David the king said to all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom the Lord has chosen, is young and tender, and the work is great; for it is not for man, but for the Lord God.

And King David blessed the Lord before the congregation, saying, Blessed art thou, O Lord God of Israel, our Father, from everlasting and to everlasting.

And David said to the whole congregation, Bless ye the Lord our God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and they bowed the knee and worshiped the Lord, and did obeisance to the king.

and Solomon and all the congregation went to the high place that was in Gibeon, where was God’s tabernacle of witness, which Moses the servant of the Lord made in the wilderness.

And the brazen altar which Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation inquired at it.

And the king turned his face, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood by.

And he stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands.

For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, and set it in the midst of the court of the sanctuary; the length of it was five cubits, and the breadth of it five cubits, and the height of it three cubits: and he stood upon it, and fell upon his knees before the whole congregation of Israel, and spread abroad his hands to heaven,

And Solomon kept the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entering in of Hamath, and as far as the river of Egypt.

And they sent and called him: and Jeroboam and all the congregation came to Rehoboam, saying,

And Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah in Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, in front of the new court.

And Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, of the children of Benaiah, of the sons of Jeiel the sons of Mattaniah the Levite, of the sons of Asaph—upon him came the Spirit of the Lord in the assembly:

And all the congregation of Judah made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he showed them the king’s son, and said to them, Lo, let the king’s son reign, as the Lord said concerning the house of David.

So the warriors left the prisoners and the spoils before the princes and all the congregation.

And they brought the goats for a sin offering before the king and the congregation; and laid their hands upon them.

And all the congregation worshiped, and the psalm singers were singing, and the trumpets sounding, until the whole burnt sacrifice had been completely offered.

Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves to the Lord, bring near and offer sacrifices of praise in the house of the Lord. And the congregation brought sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the Lord; and every one who was ready in his heart brought whole burnt offerings.

And the number of the whole burnt offerings which the congregation brought, was seventy calves, a hundred rams, two hundred lambs: all these were for a whole burnt offering to the Lord.

For the king, and the princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, designed to keep the Passover in the second month.

And the proposal pleased the king and the congregation.

And a great multitude were gathered to Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

For a great part of the congregation was not sanctified; and the Levites were ready to kill the Passover for every one who could not sanctify himself to the Lord.

And the congregation purposed together to keep other seven days: and they kept seven days with gladness.

For Hezekiah set apart for Judah, even for the congregation, a thousand calves and seven thousand sheep; and the princes set apart for the people a thousand calves and ten thousand sheep: and the holy things of the priests abundantly.

And all the congregation, the priests and the Levites, rejoiced, and all the congregation of Judah, and they that were present of Jerusalem, and the strangers that came from the land of Israel, and the dwellers in Judah.

The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.

And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.

Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.

Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.

And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;

I went mourning without restraint: And I have stood and cried out in the assembly.

I will declare thy name to my brethren: In the midst of the church will I sing praise to thee.

My praise is of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

I have hated the assembly of wicked doers; And will not sit with ungodly men.

My foot stands in an even place: In the congregations will I bless thee, O Lord.

I will give thanks to thee even in a great congregation: In an abundant people I will praise thee.

I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; Lo! I will not refrain my lips; O Lord, thou knowest my righteousness.

Praise God in the congregations, The Lord from the fountains of Israel.

The heavens shall declare thy wonders, O Lord; And thy truth in the assembly of the saints.

Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders.

Alleluia. Sing to the Lord a new song: His praise is in the assembly of the saints.

I was almost in all evil In the midst of the congregation and assembly.

The oppressor has stretched out his hand On all her desirable things: For she has seen the Gentiles Entering into her sanctuary, Concerning whom thou didst command That they should not enter into thy congregation.

gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the infants at the breast: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

Therefore thou shalt have no one to cast a line for the lot.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.

And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.

Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
