But every woman shall ask of her neighbor and fellow lodger, articles of gold and silver, and apparel; and ye shall put them upon your sons and upon your daughters—and spoil ye the Egyptians.

Speak therefore secretly in the ears of the people, and let every one ask of his neighbor jewels of silver and gold, and raiment.

And the children of Israel did as Moses commanded them, and they asked of the Egyptians articles of silver and gold and apparel.

And if anyone borrow ought of his neighbor, and it be wounded or die or be carried away, and the owner of it be not with it, he shall make compensation.

And the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and the Lord said to Solomon, Ask some petition for thyself.

And it was pleasing before the Lord, that Solomon asked this thing.

And the Lord said to him, Because thou hast asked this thing of me, and hast not asked for thyself long life, and hast not asked wealth, nor hast asked the lives of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to hear judgment;

And I have given thee what thou hast not asked, wealth and glory, so that there has not been anyone like thee among kings.

And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all that she desired, whatsoever she asked, besides all that he had given her by the hand of King Solomon: and she returned, and came into her own land, she and her servants.

And he himself went a day’s journey in the wilderness, and came and sat under a juniper tree; and asked concerning his life that he might die, and said, Let it be enough now, O Lord, take, I pray thee, my life from me; for I am no better than my fathers.

And he was exalted beyond all his other sons in all the coasts of Judah and Benjamin, and in the strong cities; and he gave them provisions in great abundance: and he desired many wives.

And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:

And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:

What? have I made any demand of you? Or do I ask for strength from you,

But as it seems, the words of a true man are vain, Because I do not ask strength of you.

Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, And the ends of the earth for thy possession.

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest him Length of days forever and ever.

they prepare their hands for mischief, the prince asks a reward, and the judge speaks flattering words; it is the desire of their soul:

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.

And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
