And Moses stretched out his hand to heaven, and there was darkness very black, even a storm over all the land of Egypt three days.

And it went between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel, and stood; and there was darkness and blackness; and the night passed, and they came not near to one another during the whole night.

And the people stood afar off, and Moses went into the darkness where God was.

And thou hast said, What does the Mighty One know? Does he judge in the dark?

Cloud and darkness are round about him; Righteousness and judgment are the establishment of his throne.

He made him to hear his voice, And brought him into the dark cloud, And gave him commandments before his face, Even the law of life and knowledge, That he might teach Jacob his covenants, And Israel his judgments.
