Bible Verses About The Word Of God

Early Christians commonly taught that the Word of God is Jesus Christ himself: with God from the beginning, truly God, the one through whom all things were made, and the one who became flesh. Writers like Ignatius, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Theophilus, Athenagoras, Origen, Tertullian, Novatian, and Victorinus repeat these themes across the 2nd and 3rd centuries. The strongest and broadest witness is to the Word as the Son who existed before creation and entered human life in the incarnation.

Some passages are only background, but the main teaching is clear and repeated often.
