Bible Verses About The Equality Of Humankind In Christ

Early Christian writings strongly teach that all people are one in Christ, with no racial, social, or sex-based rank before God. Clement of Alexandria, Ignatius, Irenaeus, Cyprian, and later writers repeat Paul’s teaching that Jews and Greeks, slaves and free, male and female are united in Christ and share the same grace. The clearest support comes from Galatians 3:28 and Colossians 3:11, with related passages in Romans and 1 Corinthians about one body and one Spirit.

The evidence is broad and steady across the second and third centuries, though some cards are only indirect because they focus on church unity, freedom from bondage, or divine grace rather than equality as a direct topic.
