Bible Verses About The Deity Of Christ

Early Christian writers widely taught that Jesus Christ is God and truly became man. Ignatius, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Tertullian, Novatian, Origen, Hippolytus, Victorinus, Gregory Thaumaturgus, and others call Christ the Word, the Son of God, and God, while also saying he took flesh and lived as a real man. The strongest and broadest pattern is not just that Christ is divine in some loose sense, but that the one Lord Jesus is both God and man, and that the Son is distinct from the Father.

A few texts are more indirect or come from later theological argument, but the overall witness is broad, early, and consistent.
