Bible Verses About Prayer

Early Christians taught that prayer should be constant, thankful, and offered for other people as well as oneself. Ignatius, Polycarp, Tertullian, Cyprian, and the Apostolic Constitutions all push prayer as a daily habit, not a rare event, and several link it to watchfulness, humility, and peace. The Lord’s Prayer and passages like Colossians 4:2, 1 Timothy 2:1, Ephesians 6:18, and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 were central guides for this practice.

The evidence is broad and early, though some cards are about related topics like thanksgiving, liturgy, or prayer with fasting rather than prayer alone.
