Bible Verses About Noah's Ark

Early Christians generally treated Noah’s ark as a real спасing event and as a picture of salvation in the Church and baptism. Justin Martyr, Cyprian, Theophilus of Antioch, Hippolytus, Tertullian, and others all refer to Noah, the ark, and the flood as part of God’s saving work, often stressing that eight people were saved and that the ark points to later Christian life.

Cyprian is especially clear that the ark is a type of the Church and that those outside it perished, while Justin connects Noah’s rescue with Christ and baptism. The witness is broad and fairly consistent, though some texts use the story mainly as typology or as a timeline note rather than directly teaching about the ark itself.
