Bible Verses About Druids And Pagan Religion

Early Christian writers did not treat Druids as harmless folklore; they usually placed them inside pagan religion, often linked with magic, sacrifice, and false worship. Hippolytus is the clearest early witness on Druids, saying they studied Pythagorean philosophy and also practiced magical rites, while Clement of Alexandria simply lists Druids among the pagan peoples.

The wider Christian pattern is very strong against pagan worship in general, with writers like Justin Martyr, Tertullian, Origen, Arnobius, and Lactantius calling idols, sacrifices, and demons false religion. The Druid-specific evidence is thin, though, because most of the material speaks broadly about pagan religion rather than about Druids by name.
