Greetings in Christ, dear brothers and sisters. As I slowly get used to the wide array of features and functions found on this new version of "TheHistoricFaith.com", I recently made an amazing discovery that I had been overlooking in my ignorance.
Back in the discussion forum on the old version of this website, several of us requested that outlines or transcripts be provided and linked to dear brother Bercot's spoken messages.
When dear brother Finny Kuruvilla's course entitled "Historic Christianity vs Calvinism" was introduced, the actual Microsoft PowerPoint presentations for each of the messages were attached to the course, and these proved to be excellent supplemental material. Based upon this, we thought that outlines/transcripts would be a very helpful addition to the other courses on the site and would greatly enhance the learning experience.
Well . . . all I can say is, we spoke and the THF staff listened!!
Not only did they listen, they took action! Attached to almost all of dear brother Bercot's spoken messages on this new version of the website is a Microsoft Word document containing either a detailed outline of the message or a transcript of the message. You can find this document by clicking on the "Materials" tab that is located to the right of the "Module" tab for each message.
Like me, I think you will be impressed with the amount of detail included in these attached Word documents on the "Materials" tab.
While going through the "Future Things" course on this new version of the site, I performed a happy experiment. I discovered that reading through the Word document attached to each message after listening to the message was a wonderful way to strongly reinforce the content of the message.
In fact, by incorporating a slow reading of each of the associated documents with my listening to the messages, I was finally able to achieve something I never thought I would achieve – I scored 100% the first time around on all of the quizzes for the "Future Things" course. Not being the sharpest guy around, I had previously abandoned all hope of ever achieving that milestone!
Maybe it is just my personal learning style, but I have found these documents containing detailed outlines or transcripts to be huge help. Having these documents available on the "Materials" tab has transformed my learning experience here, creating a learning environment that is wonderfully deep, rich, robust, immersive, multifaceted, and multi-layered.
I want to convey my sincere gratitude and thanks to Clark Wray, Timothy Miller, and the rest of the staff of TheHistoricFaith.com for this extremely helpful addition to this website. Your labors and efforts are very much appreciated, received with joy, and never taken for granted.
May God richly bless us all as we diligently seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.
