My name is Kevan Keane. I have lived in Virginia all my life. My parents had been discouraged ex-Catholics who chose not to raise their children in "organized religion," but I was curious about the religion they had left behind. My father's side of the family included Catholic and Lutheran roots while my mother's included Catholic and Jewish.
I had a chance to learn some things about religions in middle and high school and attended a Southern Baptist youth group, but did not convert until my sophomore year of college after a lengthy and intense bout of Scripture study and the realization that I needed to be reconciled to God. Since then, I have mostly floated between Southern Baptist, Christian Church/Church of Christ, and Assembly of God, with brief bouts in the International Churches of Christ and Maranatha.
Currently, my family and I attend a Church of the Living God. I have been interested in the historic Christian faith as someone who wanted historic answers to debated questions and was unwilling to just take someone's word for it if the evidence didn't add up. I have been studying the ANF for years and learn something new each time. This course is an outlet for me.
