One thing I think that is good to remember is that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our Faith. From what I understand one of the main differences between the Old and New Covenant is the reliance upon the strength of mortal men. Jesus is fully able to deliver us from our bondage to Sin. It is part of the New Birth. You are a Child of God. We must learn to walk by Faith. I think so often Satan tries to tell us otherwise. He tries to tell us we are sinners. The way I see it Satan is a Kid Napper. He tries to abduct God’s Children. We must walk by Faith. As God’s Adopted Children we still have struggles from our previous parents. Many innocent babies from drug addiction home may have withdraws when they are adopted by Christian homes. But God can help us to overcome. You are a Child of God. Claim it Sister!
The very fact you groan for perfection and see how far from it you are, is a good sign. What I often do in these kinds of moments, I pray that the Lord gives me help, patience, peace in this unknown journey (daily life) towards that blameless and spotless state of the resurrection. I sometimes wrestle with God that my state of weakness is absolutely ridiculous and feelings of what is God doing here with me, why am I left to wallow in my own sins and weaknesses without Him seeming to help me out of these things? But the wrestling is not even that deep for me, because the faith and trust I have in God overwhelms my lack of patience and complaining. You are to walk by faith, meaning you should always trust God that He is working on your sanctification. This faith is supernatural, a gift from God, a kind of faith that the world knows nothing about. 2Corinthians 5:6 " Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight—"1John5:4 "For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith."Patience in prayer, God is not slow to bring about your sanctification, His timing and plans for you are far above any of your thoughts, trust Him always. You're not a failure, you're a work in progress.
Thank you for your responses dear brother and sister. It is a great blessing 🙂.
