Hi Jacob, I hope you can find the encouragement you need, whether here or otherwise. A few thoughts I have: God certainly cares about our thought-life, because it is formative in who we are becoming, but probably the bigger question is what are you doing about this? In Mark 9:24, there is a man who cries out to Jesus, "I do believe, help my unbelief", and finds the help he needs. So seeking help is the first thing, but also there are things that you can do to become established in your faith, so that this doesn't have to be a lifelong battle. Psalm 1 talks about how the man who is diligent in keeping to His word is established like a tree planted by the water. This is a great picture of strength, of someone who is not easily moved, and it comes by faithfully keeping on in the way. In Eph 3:14-19, Paul shares what his prayer is for them, and vs 17 says, "that you may be rooted and grounded in love". Two things this tells us: that we need to be praying for each other like this, and that the nature of being "rooted and grounded" is love, and this is likely the best thing to go after in becoming established in faith. Aside from that, it may help to look up some apologetic works; whatever it takes to put to rest whatever questions keep coming up. Hope this helps.
