I’m new to the site, but I have been a fan of David Bercot for a couple of years, having watched a lot of his YouTube content as well as interviews with him on other programs. I come from an Evangelical background, although I have deepening concerns with its casual approach to discipleship and the demands of Christian living. I’ve also become increasingly disillusioned with the foundations and fruit of the Protestant Reformation as being more fixated on theological distinctions than on Christ himself, and as I recognize the tragically flawed nature of many of its founders. As indicated in my subject line, I am not an Anabaptist, though I have tremendous respect for the historical struggle of many Anabaptists to pursue Christ counterculturally. I appreciate that this site is now open to all and I look forward to engaging with much of the content it has to offer. Grace and peace to you all.
