I am a preacher of the Restoration Movement (Stone-Campbell). I was originally Southern Baptist and after moving to the church of Christ, I have always been an outsider and could critique our own movement. So, I have never stopped searching. For many years, I have continued to look into the major branches: Protestants, Orthodox, and Catholicism, but never knew much of Anabaptist teachings. Because, you typically didn't use modern technology, your message wasn't getting to me. I'm very glad that some of you found your way to YouTube. I understand there is a balance, but so far, I think you are achieving it. Nothing here appears to be an attempt to "get with the times" but a genuine effort to be plain in a technologically advanced world. If you asked me what church to go to, I would have referred you to mine of course, but after a couple of months of studying your materials and watching videos, I have to say I'm very impressed! It appears, at least what I am seeing on this site, is a group of people who have achieved something closer to the NT church than my own. My group is too captured by the Enlightenment, too in our own heads, and have over intellectualized simple New Testament Christianity to a point that we are just Protestants now. This group, appears to have found the sweet spot. My group says, "Bible only and back to Jerusalem." This group says, "Bible based with some historical context from the first couple centuries before things went crazy!" But even more importantly, how one lives their life is what matters, and that is where you are shaming us Restorationist. We fear such teaching, as it comes off as mega church pop psychology, but maybe you guys could teach me how to teach/live Christian living in a proper way.
