Questions regarding The Historic Faith Commentary Series

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere; did a forum search but no results came up. Volume 1 is incredible, and elucidates my favorite book of Scripture, no less. But I have a couple questions:

Is there an a prospective publication date for volume 2?

Will it be chapters 14-28 of Matthew, or something else?

Will Bercot be utilizing the more comprehensive version of Origen's Commentary on Matthew, such as that found in the Oxford Early Christian Texts series which has books 10-17 of that work as opposed to the Ante-Nicene Fathers which only includes books 10-14?

Thank you for your time.

In my most recent conversation with David on this subject, he said he is not planning on doing any more commentary works. He is currently finishing up his early Christian commentary on Romans, which was such an extensive project that he feels he's not going to be able to do any more.

I know multiple people who would love to have another volume of the Matthew commentary, but David especially wanted to include the early chapters, especially the Sermon on the Mount, so he feels that it is still worth it even without a Volume 2. Disappointing, of course, but I think it's understandable, and maybe he'll find someone else to finish Matthew.

It must have been quite an undertaking, yes; especially for one person. Any chance that the commentary on Romans might end up as a volume, or is it strictly an audio lecture series?

Any idea when Bercot’s commentary on Romans will be released? This year maybe?

David is hoping to have it released by Kingdom Fellowship Weekend (the end of August).

Yes, it's going to be in book form, and a decent-sized book, from what I've seen.

The question of continuing the Matthew commentary was informally raised at the Historic Faith Encounter. David Bercot said that if his health holds he will take up the project after finishing the Common Sense republication!
