Can someone in here maybe help me?

Hi everyone. Can someone in here maybe help me?

My name is Per Berner and I live in a sparsely populated area of Denmark just north of the Germany border. Here in my area there is only the Lutheran state church with their infant baptism and generally watered down version of Christianity. If I travel to the bigger cities, there are a few Pentecostal hyper-grace churches. On the whole, Denmark is a very pagan country.

Now, after studying the early Christians, my questionable love affair with charismatic Pentecostalism has completely cooled. In a very short while I have become a kind of Anabaptist. Here in Denmark, as far as I can figure out, there are no Anabaptists, so right now I am in a no man's land and am almost completely alone. I just launched a website where I tell my wild story and preach the Gospel in Facebook groups near where I live.

I also have a visiting card that I give to especially young people when I talk to them about the things concerning the Kingdom. My first goal is to gather some people and together with them live according to Anabaptist principles - version 2024.

AND NOW TO THE QUESTION: Can someone among you offer me some good advice on how to connect to the right people? Is there perhaps someone in here who is possibly trying to establish a Christian group himself and who can be my sparring partner? Is there anyone in here who can possibly provide for me contact with some modern grass-root-Anabaptism in Germany or maybe somewhere else?

Kind regards, Per Berner

Have you heard of a website called Anabaptistperspectives.org ? They have viewers worldwide, I understand they have connected some of their viewers. Also, another site called strengthtostrength.org ? Blessings to your search for fellowship!

Hi David. Thank you very much for your answer. I will take a closer look at the two links. Also, a Matt Gingerich - a Mennonite missionary in Poland offered to connect me with a WhatsApp group in Germany. So, it all seems to be going well.

Brother Per, have you checked any of the church finding websites? Churchindex.org brings up this Nationwide Mennonite church in southern Denmark:

Southern Jutland Mennonite Church

Hjordkærvej 24 Raved, Bolderslev, Denmark

I also remember hearing that there is a Hutterite church plant in the Netherlands somewhere. I know next to nothing about it (it may not even be existent anymore) but I think Peter Hoover mentioned it in his book Secret of the Strength. There is also an increasing number of churches elsewhere in Europe- Ireland, UK, Serbia, and Ukraine.

Hi Brother Jushua. Thank you sooo much for the info you gave me. This Sunday I'm visiting a Mennonite mission church in the southern part of Denmark - not far from where I live. After the service we are having a meal and, in the afternoon, we are singing. At first, I thought it was a dead end, but some American missionaries have indeed come here. This is very great. it seems I'm no longer alone. 👍

Hi Per, I'm aware of a group in the Netherlands who is starting out. I'm sure they'd be glad to hear from you. I'll message you directly with more information.

Hi Lynn. Thank you so much for your help. I am indeed interested. As I’m also starting out, it would be great to have someone to share the journey with. Travelling to Amsterdam from my place takes less than 10 hours by bus, sso that's fine. I followed an advice I got recently in this forum from brother Joshua Miller, and searching churchindex.org I actually found a little group of conservative American Mennonite missionaries not far from where I live.

It was a great experience to meet them and see how solemnly they worshipped the Lord. We also had a meal and, in the afternoon, we sang beautiful Mennonite a cappella songs. I really liked it, but I also think, that concerning the work the Lord wants me to do, I should abstain from putting a lot of extra (manmade!) rules on newcomers. So, if the guys you know are more modern in their approach, it would be very fine. If you will send me the info I would be grateful. Then I can check it out.

My email is: .

Greetings, Per Berner. God bless you. Press on!
