What Happened to "Reflections on Common Sense"?

Good morning. Can you give me a little more information about this? Were these recordings from David about his book? Or are you referring to something completely different?

Yes, he produced and published a couple of recordings discussing his book "Common Sense." I remember listening to them here a few years ago, but I cannot find them anymore.

I did some checking with the site administrator and also checked with David himself. No one can remember a specific recording. It is possible that it was included in a Q&A session with David. We are planning to divide the Q&A sessions into topics to make them more accessible. Maybe something will turn up when we do that project. I will say that David is considering reprinting "Common Sense" in the future. At that time we might do some recordings about it.

I tagged you in a relevant Forum discussion from a few years ago.

Thanks for sharing this. It looks like Charles shared a link to Scroll Publishing. I thought you meant a video that was posted on The Historic Faith site.

And just to be more clear, I specifically checked into any recordings posted on this site. David would most likely recall the recording that was linked to in the forum.

@tbrickley Hi Tre, I had a discussion with Dale, and it seems there has been a misunderstanding.

When he saw your question about the video, Dale reached out to David, asking what he understood your question to be: Had there been such a video on this site?

David said that he knew nothing about that video being on this site. That's not surprising, since David has delegated the administration of this site, and doesn't maintain it himself.

I see that Dale's response sounded to you like David said that he had no memory of the video at all. That would indeed be surprising! But that wasn't the question that David was asked.

Of course, since David recorded that video himself, he would know whether that video exists. So I will ask David whether that video is available in some form, and if not, why not. Will that answer your question?

Currently, David is working overtime to get his Romans commentary edited and off to the printer, so I really hate to bug him until the next scheduled meeting (early March). But if I see him between now and then, I will try to do that.

Please bear with us; there wasn't any intention of being confusing. We try to be very careful in the requests that we make for David's time. It's hard for him to say "no" to a request, but we won't have him with us forever. So we try to minimize distractions so that he can maximize the time he can spend for the Kingdom.

At our last meeting, I asked David about the recording/s. He said that, since Common Sense is out of print, they didn't see the need to keep the "Reflections" video up on the Scroll Publishing site. However, he's pretty sure that Scroll Publishing does still have copies of the video. If you contact them, they will do their best to find the video and send it to you.
