Hello - I am excited to start going through the courses! I have been in a Baptist church my whole life, but had many "rocks in my shoe" the last couple of years. The things I was reading in Scripture and thinking through just did not seem to agree with what my pastor was teaching. Last summer, after a broken friendship, I sought God and for the first time I experienced godly sorrow over my sin.
Well, I was very hungry for truth and I told the Lord that if He would show me the truth I would believe it, even if I didn't like it! Praise His name, He gave me new eyes for His Word. One of the first books I read was Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up by David Bercot & it made me eager to learn more about the early Christians.
Also, if there is anyone here in the upstate SC area, my husband and I would love to fellowship...or if you know of a good church in the area, I would be interested. We do not know anyone who doesn't believe OSAS, the sin never stops, obedience is not necessary, etc. It is discouraging to look around and see so much complacency.
