COVID-19 and Compulsory Vaccinations

The modern case of COVID-19 has raised questions concerning the ability of the governing authorities to mandate universal vaccines, to refuse any exemptions (including religious), and to punish those who refuse.

Reference: Resource on usatoday.com — https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/08/06/stop-coronavirus-compulsory-universal-vaccination-column/3289948001/

This has relevance to Future Things, and the possibility of pestilences (Matt 24:7), or rumors of pestilences, being part of the experience of those living under the governing authorities prior to the coming of the Lord.

Question: Does submitting to every ordinance include what happens to one's own body (forced injections) from a compulsory medical situation that violates one's own conscience based on all available evidence?

On the one hand, I understand Matthew 10:28 and Mark 7:15 in conjunction with Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2, and I can see where submitting to a vaccine will not defile us, even if death were to occur.

However, it appears there is real cause for concern over submitting to a compulsory vaccine: questionable historical data, the pitfalls of rapid developments with shortened safety trials, potentially faulty science, and most of all, the ingredients (which may include aborted human cells).

Not submitting to compulsory vaccines may eventually result in the loss of jobs, income, or even punishment; therefore, those who would refuse to vaccinate may shortly begin enduring hardships.

I support those who would choose to get a vaccine, but this is a question for those who would prefer to choose not to get a vaccine, and who still want to do the right thing in God's eyes.

This question has been submitted for the Live Q&A with David Bercot on 18AUG2020; however, I felt it would be a thought-provoking forum question leading up to the Live Q&A also. May God bless our thoughts and discussion and give wisdom.

Jason, bless you brother. Yes, I hear you. I have had similar thoughts. Where is the line between Romans 13 "submit to the governing authorities", "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's", and Acts 4 where Peter and John refused to submit to the authorities trying to get them to disobey Jesus and proclaim the only name under heaven given to men through which we must be saved? Where is the line where we submit to please God and we do not submit to please God?

This is certainly a difficult line to find in real life, not so hard to recognize it in the Bible often times though.
If we look in Revelation, we don't really know what this mark of the Beast is that many will take in the right hand or forehead, but we can rightly infer that they should have REFUSED to receive it in order to please God and so be saved.

So it stands to reason there is a point where an authority trying to administer to the body of the descendants of Adam, that the individual has the responsibility to in at least this one case, to refuse to take it. So since we don't know what that will be, the Mark of the Beast that is, it stands to reason I think that refusing to take a mandatory vaccine is warranted.
Would love to hear others on this? May the Lord God help us all... together as the body of His Son.

Brother Hancock,

Thank you for your reply. I don't detect that you were insisting that a vaccine represents the mark of the beast, but I wanted to make sure for anyone else reading also that I certainly do not hold that a vaccine is on par with the mark of the beast.

I do feel pretty well edified by the Word to understand in the vast majority of situations when to submit and when not to submit. In that regard, I love not my life even unto death.

However, the uniqueness of the modern "science" of medicine (don't get me wrong, not all medicine is science falsely so called) and the specific area of compulsory (forced) injections is under investigation here.

Therefore, the idea of not submitting to a vaccine has my attention in relation to the authority I have as a believer over my own body (soma), whether the governing authorities should be obeyed in this regard in the event one's conscience (seasoned with a genuine evidentiary basis) is violated.

I appreciated your thoughts and reply. Blessing to you.

No my brother, I do not in any way think that the JUST... fair... merciful God... and only God who is focused on how we treat each other and Him (which is what either fulfills the Law or does not fulfill it as James says that this is what fulfills the Law... and Jesus said he came to fulfill the Law)...

and so this one true God, creator of all things, foreknowing all and forming us in his image through Jesus Christ, would unjustly condemn someone for being coerced into taking an injection of any kind. I really think the expressions in Revelation is figurative in some way. The Bible is a combination of FIGURATIVE expressions (prophesy or not) and LITERAL expressions.

The whole ministry of Jesus was jumping back forth between speaking literally to his students and figuratively, and they could not keep up. For instance, "beware of the YEAST of the Pharisees and Sadducees" which the text reveals he meant their heretical teaching (twisting Moses or adding to Moses undermining Moses' commands) or with the account of raising of Lazarus in the gospel of John, as soon as Jesus heard he was sick, he stayed a few more days and showed up four days after he had died.

However, the conversation he had with his students, they did not recognize he was implying he was going to RESURRECT him from the DEAD pointing to his own Resurrection, so that they would believe. After John records Jesus' last statement of telling them "sleep" meant death, they still did not catch he was implying he was going to raise him from the dead, and so Thomas replies, "oh yeah, let's go there and die with Lazarus".

I really don't think God is going to let Satan sucker punch sincere students of his Son to whom God the Father gave the kingdom for coming here, defeating Satan, winning back the Kingdoms of this world, freeing the captives enslaved by deception of Satan, and all authority in heaven and on earth given to him as King, the Son of God, when the Mark of the Beast shows up on the scene.

So that when it is offered, it will be a clear rejection of God and Christ by those that do accept it, fair and square, and turning to some way that is idolatrous, worshiping Satan and demons in some obvious way etc. I don't think a medical injection is what God will allow to cut people off from him, rendering them nonredeemable. I don't see a JUST Judge behaving like that.

A righteous Judge that suffered to set them free, to let Satan create a medical deception that forces them to take it without a clear declaration they are in some way renouncing Christ. The martyrdoms of yesteryear were like that. That sort of thing makes more sense. Some mark of the Beast that clearly gives their allegiance to Satan, I am quite sure will be what John meant under the inspiration of the Spirit of God.

I have put some thought into this as well. One obvious concern I think would apply to all believers is that aborted fetal cell tissue is almost always used in research and development of vaccines. I think if that is the case for a mandated covid vaccine, it would be cause to resist to not be a partaker in another man's sin.
