As seventy languages are represented by number, and through interpretation these languages are unified, the ark is likewise shown as a symbol of the body of Christ, which is both pure and immaculate. Just as that ark was covered with pure gold inside and out, the body of Christ is also pure and radiant, adorned internally by the Word and protected externally by the Spirit, so that the brilliance of both natures is displayed together.
