The apostles commanded that "we should not judge anyone regarding food or drink, or concerning a feast day, the new moons, or the sabbaths." So where do these contentions come from? Where do these divisions arise? We observe the feast, but with the leaven of malice and wickedness, tearing apart the Church of God; and we maintain what belongs to its external observance, thus neglecting the better things, faith and love. We have heard from the prophetic words that these feasts and fasts are displeasing to the Lord.
