THE LITTLE BOY: therefore, who guided Samson by the hand, prefigured John the Baptist, who showed the people the faith in Christ. And the house in which they were assembled symbolizes the world, in which the various heathen and unbelieving nations dwell, offering sacrifice to their idols. Moreover, the two pillars represent the two covenants. The fact that Samson leaned upon the pillars indicates that the people, when instructed, recognized the mystery of Christ.
