THROUGH THESE FIGURES: Christ was symbolized, recognized, and introduced into the world; for He was foreshadowed in Joseph. He descended from Levi and Judah according to the flesh, as King and Priest, and was recognized by Simeon in the temple. Through Zebulon, He was believed in among the Gentiles, as the prophet says, "the land of Zabulon;" and through Benjamin, meaning Paul, He was glorified by being preached throughout the world.
