Chapter 31: Let's See How We Can Obtain God's Blessing

Let us then hold fast to His blessing and consider how we can obtain it. Let us reflect on the events that have occurred from the beginning. Why was our father Abraham blessed? Was it not because he practiced righteousness and truth through faith? Isaac, with complete trust, as if aware of what was to occur, willingly offered himself as a sacrifice. Jacob, on account of his brother, left his own land with humility and went to Laban and served him; and to him was given the scepter of the twelve tribes of Israel.
