First Epistle to the Corinthians

The humility and godly submission of such great and illustrious men have made not only us, but also all the generations before us, better; as many who have received His oracles in fear and truth. Therefore, with so many great and glorious examples set before us, let us return to the practice of that peace which has been our aim from the start; and let us look steadfastly to the Father and Creator of the universe, and hold onto His mighty and surpassingly great gifts and blessings of peace. Let us contemplate Him with our understanding, and look with the eyes of our soul to His patient will. Let us reflect on how free from wrath He is towards all His creation.
