Chapter 37: Sayings of the Father.
TO MAKE THIS CLEAR TO YOU: the following words were spoken by the Father through Isaiah the prophet: “The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, and My people have not understood. Woe, sinful nation, a people full of sins, a wicked offspring, children who are transgressors, you have forsaken the Lord.” And in another place, when the same prophet speaks similarly from the Father's perspective, “What is the house that you will build for Me? says the Lord. The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool.” And again, in another passage, “Your new moons and your sabbaths My soul hates; and the great day of fasting and ceasing from labor I cannot endure; nor, if you come to be seen by Me, will I listen to you: your hands are full of blood; and if you bring fine flour, incense, it is an abomination to Me: the fat of lambs and the blood of bulls I do not desire. For who has required this from you? But loosen every bond of wickedness, tear apart the tight knots of violent contracts, cover the homeless and the naked, share your bread with the hungry.” You can now understand what kinds of things are taught through the prophets from God.
