Chapter 34: The Foretold Place of Christ's Birth

Hear in which part of the earth He was to be born, as another prophet, Micah, foretold. He spoke this way: "And you, Bethlehem, the land of Judah, are not the least among the princes of Judah; for out of you shall come a Governor, who shall lead My people." Now there is a village in the land of the Jews, thirty-five stadia from Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ was born, as you can verify from the records of the census taken under Cyrenius, your first procurator in Judea.
