Book III · Chapter 15: Greetings. Conclusion

Philo and Agathopus, the deacons, send their greetings to you. I greet the company of virgins and the order of widows, in whom may I find joy! I greet the people of the Lord, from the least to the greatest. I have sent you this letter through Euphanius the reader, a man honored by God and very faithful, whom I happened to meet in Rhegium just as he was about to board a ship. Remember my bonds so that I may be made perfect in Christ. Farewell in body, soul, and spirit, as you think of perfect things and turn away from the workers of wickedness, who corrupt the word of truth, and are strengthened inwardly by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
