Chapter 5: Address to Satan.

IF THE LORD WERE JUST A MAN WITH ONLY A SOUL AND BODY: why do you downplay and alter His birth with human nature? Why do you claim the passion was merely an appearance, as if any strange thing were happening to a mere man? And why do you consider the death of a mortal to be simply an imaginary death? But if He is both God and man, why do you claim it is wrong to call Him "the Lord of glory," who is by nature unchangeable? Why do you say it is wrong to declare of the Lawgiver, who has a human soul, "The Word was made flesh," and was a perfect man, not just one dwelling in a man? But how did this magician come to be, who long ago formed all nature, both seen and understood, according to the will of the Father, and who, when He became incarnate, healed every kind of disease and infirmity?
