Chapter 5: Condemnation of False Teachers

WHOEVER: therefore, declares that there is only one God, merely to deny the divinity of Christ, is a devil and an enemy of all righteousness. He also who confesses Christ, yet not as the Son of the Creator of the world, but of some other unknown being, different from the one the law and the prophets have proclaimed, this person is a tool of the devil. And he who rejects the incarnation and is ashamed of the cross for which I am in bonds, this person is antichrist. Moreover, he who claims Christ to be just a man is accursed, according to the prophet's declaration, since he does not place his trust in God, but in man. Therefore, he is also unfruitful, like the wild myrtle tree.
