Chapter 4: I Need Humility

But I assess myself so that I may not perish through boasting: and it is good to glory in the Lord. And even if I were established in things related to God, it would still befit me to be more fearful, and not pay attention to those who vainly inflate my ego. For those who commend me also scourge me. [I do indeed desire to suffer], but I am unsure if I am worthy to do so. For the envy of the wicked one is not visible to many, but it wars against me. Therefore, I need meekness, by which the devil, the prince of this world, is brought to nothing.
