So many good points and things I’ve never thought about it really brings the Old Testament to life

I was very blessed by this teaching. It greatly helped me see the historical position of the church as regards to baptismal practices. At a time of the rise of Calvinism everywhere, this teaching needs to be spread far and wide.

I enjoyed this series and look forward to using this information in sharing the Gospel.

I appreciate Bercot's systematic approach in this. He goes through all the Biblical and early Christian writings that are relevant, and comes to a convincing conclusion.

This course gives you a thorough view of the doctrine of believers baptism and how, when, and why infant baptism was introduced.

It's been quite a journey trying to understand baptism, particularly regarding the age of recipients and the method employed. The Bible's teachings, particularly in the New Testament and as interpreted by early Christians, seem to leave room for interpretation, whether it pertains to children or adults. Delving deeper and uncovering some of the nuances in translation and inherent biases has, to a significant extent, satisfied the lingering questions I had. I appreciate the clarity this has brought. A very helpful look at baptism at the early church.

David Bercot makes a very convincing case that believer's baptism was the norm for the first 4 centuries even while infant baptism began to be practiced. Also he gives reason to believe the first infant baptisms were emergency cases during a plague, and later became normalized because of Augustine reacting to Pelagians by teaching Original Sin.

it is truly eye opening to learn all these lessons so far,i feel so strengthened.

This short study course has a lot of interesting connections to old testament prophecies about the resurrection that can be useful in one’s own life, and in interacting with others.

Honest and well explained

Great insights into the Word of God, seeing the promise of the long awaited King to come unfold! The early Church bring new but old insights to us in a broken and perverse generation.

This is a very valuable study! The resurrection prophecies can be difficult to find if you don’t catch the riddles and words with double meanings!
