This was a most enlightening course. There are so many important gems of truth in the Gospel of Matthew, but a lot of them, like the treasure hidden in the field, require a Kingdom mindset along with some serious time and effort to dig them out. Spending time to read and consider the insights of the Early Christians is a big help in safeguarding us against erroneous applications and interpretations.
I was very much blessed by being so immersed in teachings regarding the Kingdom life while listening to the video messages for this course and reading the accompanying Historic Faith Commentary.

In three month I have gone from being a reluctant charismatic Pentecostal to becoming an entusiastic anabaptist. Thank you Mr. Bercot! My problem now is that I'm pretty much alone and stuck in a no mans land, as there are no anabaptist here in Denmark. (Ok. There is a little conservative Mennonite Church planting, but they are living in the 19th Century).
Do you know of any network, who could offer some assistance / overseeing as I'm trying to establish a branch of the Kingdom here - "Anabaptism version 2024".
(I just made a website to get especially young people into the Kingdom: OpEllerNef.dk)

I highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in knowing more about the Kingdom of God. There are a lot of Scriptures that so often we are unsure of what they mean, so we skim over them. These verses are in the Bible for a reason, and they mean something. This course has answered a lot of those questions for me. It has given me a lot of new insight on Scripture.

This course would be the second time I have worked my way through this commentary, and I am sure I shall be refering to it many more times in the years to come. I hope and pray that God our Father gives brother David many more years of life and strength so he might continue with the rest of that book of Matthew... I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMMENTARY TO ANYONE!

This commentary is an major reference point. Modern Bible readers are most often unaware of the origin of opinions of popular writers and speakers. Reading this book and listening to Historic Faith courses has broadened my Christian world view. While I do believe we can all be inspired to see how the Bible stories speak to situations in our daily lives being familiar with traditional interpretations can help us avoid fanciful ideas.

So thankful to be learning the early Christian viewpoints on Matthew. It points us back to β€œthe faith which was once for all delivered to the saints”. Thanks for sharing!
