1. Please read all of the Schleitheim confession (1527), without doubt, the most important document of the first generation of Anabaptists. It should take you about 15-20 minutes to read it well. Read the Schlietheim confession by clicking here. 2. Next, read John Calvin's rebuttal of Schleitheim--but only his introduction and rebuttal of Article 1 (on infant baptism). I'd like you to read it slowly and carefully to understand his argument well. It's an old translation, so it'll take some work to get through--but it's worth it. To read the introduction and his rebuttal of Article 1 should take you about 30 minutes. Just focus on those two sections, you can read the rest later on your own time if you like.
