Sattler College seeks to promote and advance the precepts and values of the historic Christian Faith. Thehistoricfaith.com was created out of that vision.
Sattler College is an independent, not-for-profit educational organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All profits are used to support student scholarship programs, student services, and college operations. Our expenses include platform technology, curriculum material, content development, and outreach.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Visitors and Users
In the course of using this Site, you may provide us with personally identifiable information. This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you, and information on your use of and activities at our Site that may be connected with you (“Personal Information”). Personal Information that we collect may include, but is not limited to, your name and email address. When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. This information may include, but is not limited to, your Internet Protocol address, browser type, the web page you were visiting before you came to our Site and information you search for on our Site. Like many websites, we may also use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file stored by your browser at your Device’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use “session ID cookies” in order to support login and main service functionality. We may also store cookies of third-party providers. In particular, Google stores a Google Analytics cookie in order to be able to differentiate between users and be able to show us how many times people visit the website on average (not individually) and information on what pages they’ve seen, how long the duration was, and so on; we do not identify who the visitor was, or what is his thehistoricfaith.com account (if any). Sattler College does not collect, store or process data from third-party cookies. In some cases another User (such as an administrator) may create an account on your behalf and may provide your information, including Personal Information (most commonly when your company requests that you use our service). We collect Information under the direction of our Customers and often have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data we process. If you are an employee of one of our Customers and would no longer like us to process your information, please contact your employer and us at the contact information below.
In addition to the data we collect for all Users, we also collect data that are required for your contract with us, such as your company affiliation, invoicing data and also service usage data that prove that the service is used in accordance to your subscription terms, We may also acquire additional data through our Customers’ support requests to the extent this is required for us to resolve a technical issue or respond to a request or complaint. We also email to our Customers newsletters, announcements regarding thehistoricfaith.com and our products, or marketing material. If you are a Customer and no longer wish to receive such emails you can remove yourself from the recipients list at any time by selecting the “unsubscribe” link provided within the e-mail footer. If you are providing information (including Personal Information) about someone else, you must have the authority to act for them and to consent to the collection and use of their Personal Information. In case You use through Our Service any optional third-party service for content, such as YouTube, You explicitly agree to be bound by the respective Terms of Service (for YouTube); Our Service does not share any Personally Identifiable Information with YouTube.
We do not store your credit card information in our systems. All credit card transactions are processed using secure encryption – the same level of encryption used by leading banks. Card information is transmitted, stored, and processed securely at gateways on a PCI-compliant network. We use Stripe to process all payments.
We collect and store Content that you create, input, submit, post, upload, transmit, store or display in the process of using our “Site”. Such Content includes any Personal Information or other sensitive information that you choose to include (“incidentally-collected Personal Information”). Although Sattler College owns the code, databases, and all rights to the thehistoricfaith.com service, Customers retain ownership, control and all rights to their records and data which are their property.
We collect other data that you submit to our “Site” or as you participate in any interactive features of thehistoricfaith.com Services, participate in a survey, contest, activity or event, request Customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we may set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information, your screen display choices, and course player settings.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We do not share your personal information data with anyone outside of Sattler College.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Your contact information is shared with Sattler College admissions and marketing if you check the box “Signup for Sattler College updates” when you create your account.
